Accessibility statement
HDML wants everyone to be able to shop here, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or a high-contrast setting. This page says what we have built, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

What we aim for
The store targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we check against them as we build. This statement describes what the team has built and tested itself; it is not a third-party certification.
What works today
- The store can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
- A skip-to-content link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on each page.
- Pages use semantic landmarks and headings, so screen readers can jump between header, navigation, main content and footer.
- Every form field has a label, and errors are announced where they occur rather than only shown in colour.
- Text and background colours in both the light and the dark theme were measured at 4.5:1 or better for normal text (checked 2 November 2026), including the primary buttons in the dark theme.
- Hover effects are only decorative: every action also works by touch and keyboard, with the same visible focus.
- Animations are short and respect your system's reduced-motion setting; no content depends on motion or waits for scripts to appear.
- Cookie choices can be changed at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer, without clearing your cart or signing you out.
- The whole store is available in Arabic with a full right-to-left layout, and in English.
- Text scales with your browser's zoom and text-size settings without breaking the layout.
- Images carry alternative text where the owner has provided it.
- We avoid relying on colour alone to convey meaning.
Known limits
- Some product images may not yet have a descriptive alternative text. The owner adds these as products are reviewed.
- The bot-protection check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) is provided by its vendor, and its accessibility is theirs to maintain. If it blocks you, tell us and we take your request another way.
Tell us what is in your way
If any part of the store is hard or impossible for you to use, email us at contact@hdmlstore.com. It helps to say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and which browser or assistive technology you use. We read every report and use it to decide what to fix next.
Keeping this page honest
We update this statement when the store changes in a way that affects accessibility, and the date at the top changes with it.
